Actual N Scale working Drive In Movie Theatre

Have built three N scale layouts, 3 x 4, 4 x 4 and 3 x 6, basically all from scratch. The pics attached are from my 4 x 4 layout and depict an actual working Drive-In Theatre. The DI was built from Blair Lines drive-in kit and the rest being scratch built. The screen is an actual "dolls house" video and is connected to a VCR. As all of my layouts are based on the late 1940's til 1959, the only movies shown are from that era. Notably John Wayne (Fort Apache) and other such classics.

Would welcome any comments on my endeavors …

Love It

Great work. My daughter saw this and bought me the Blair Line DI kit. Question; what did you use for the screen? Again, love this.

I love it! What a nice addition to a layout in that era. Adds a ton of realism and nostalgia! Great work, Geoffrey!

MRMHR

This unique Model Railroad Museum was established in November of 2024 as a non-profit community organization featuring ten operating model railroads in all the different major scales, a STEM Program for students, historical displays, group tours and clinics on how to develop your skills as a model railroader. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Open 12-6 pm on all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through April, 2026. They will be moving to a new location after that. Will provide an update later this year.
